Webinar details
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are often constrained by limited budgets, which affects their ability to upgrade existing production machinery. As a result, sudden breakdowns, poor product quality, and low machine availability are common challenges. Through the effective implementation of automation systems, supported by suitable knowledge transfer programmes, the integration of modern control systems with legacy machines can significantly improve reliability and production availability while maintaining a safe working environment for operators and maintenance staff. This session will present the implementation of an automation system using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and various sensing devices for the monitoring and control of a hydraulic press, demonstrating how automation can enhance the reliability and availability of manufacturing assets.
Key takeaways from this webinar:
- Automation systems integration
- Condition monitoring
- PUWER standards
