Registrations are now open for the Earthing Surge & Lightning Protection Conference | Birmingham!

ECT is proud to present its sister company, IDC Technologies, presenting the Earthing, Surge & Lightning Protection Conference in Birmingham.

This year’s program delivers a strong balance of technical depth and practical application, addressing current challenges across earthing system design, compliance, testing, and maintenance. Through case studies and field-driven intel, delegates will gain practical knowledge that can be applied directly to projects and workplace decisions.

The second day has been scheduled to start and finish earlier to support convenient travel arrangements. An optional conference dinner on providing valuable discussions, industry learning and networking in a relaxed setting.

Key Learning Outcomes:

Verify, Don’t Just Model
Develop the capability to independently validate large renewable site earthing performance, reducing reliance on software outputs and strengthening design assurance.

Exclusive Nuclear Earthing Case Study
A perspective from an industry leader presenting the design and implementation of a multi-level earthing system for the first of a new generation of British nuclear power stations.

Smarter Lightning Risk Compliance
Understand how automated lightning risk assessment methods can streamline IEC/BS 62305-2 compliance, reduce calculation errors, and support correct LPS classification and mitigation selection.

Make Better Testing Decisions
At this conference you will be learn from those with field knowledge of Fall-of-Potential testing limitations and avoid false assurance when assessing EPR in complex, low-impedance systems.

Improve Fault & Overvoltage Management
A deep dive into the role of LV neutral couplers in protecting supplies and mitigating overvoltage risk.

Hear the DNO Perspective
Understand expectations around testing and maintenance of substation earthing assets — directly from the network operator viewpoint.
