Dr. Vishal Sharma – Senior On-Campus Lecturer & DEng Research Coordination

Dr. Vishal Santosh Sharma is a Senior On-Campus Lecturer and Doctoral Research Coordinator in Mechanical Engineering at EIT, with over 25 years of teaching and research experience in advanced manufacturing. He holds a PhD from Kurukshetra University, India, completed postdoctoral research at ParisTech, France, and has contributed to wind turbine and machining projects at NTNU, Norway. His career includes academic positions in South Africa and India, alongside extensive industry collaboration.

Dr. Sharma has published 108 scientific articles, received over 3,600 citations, and holds a Scopus H-index of 34. Recognized among the world’s top 2% researchers by a Stanford University study, he has supervised 13 PhD and 28 Master’s students, organized seven international conferences, edited journal special issues, and co-authored three books with Springer. He also serves as Associate Editor for several leading engineering journals.
