Webinar details

In this webinar, Jon will take you through the history of Engineering, from the beginning of time and the Big Bang up to the present day, and talk about the phenomenal change in technologies, practices and techniques that have been used over the last few millennia.

Engineering has evolved dramatically, particularly in the recent past, and continues to evolve into an unknown future. How does this impact our current engineering disciplines? How have our disciples merged, effectively destroying our traditional engineering silos? Why is integration, inclusion and collaboration key to our future? Can we cope, and can anything save us?

Systems Engineering will be presented as one evolution of Engineering, and why all areas of Engineering are still essential. However, there is a still a need, now more than ever before to work closely with other disciplines, and not just remain just Engineering-focused.

  • The webinar will be recorded and will be sent out to registered attendees afterwards.
  • A certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees who request one near the end of the live webinar session.
  • Please note: the time stated on this event is in UTC. You will need to convert this to your own time zone.

Key takeaways from this webinar:

  • Explore how engineering has evolved from the Big Bang to today, and how rapid technological change is reshaping traditional engineering disciplines.
  • Understand why engineering disciplines are increasingly merging, making integration, inclusion and cross-disciplinary collaboration essential.
  • Discover the growing role of Systems Engineering and why collaboration beyond traditional engineering boundaries will be critical to the future of the profession.
