Webinar details

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) allows engineers to predict how components and systems will respond to forces, heat, vibration, fluid flow, and other physical conditions before physical prototypes are produced. Used across industries including civil, mechanical, aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, and energy engineering, FEA helps engineers analyse digital models, compare design alternatives, and identify potential issues earlier in the design process.

This webinar will introduce the fundamental principles of the Finite Element Method (FEM) and the typical FEA workflow, including meshing, boundary conditions, analysis, and interpretation of results. It will also explore industry applications, integration with CAD tools, commonly used FEA software, emerging trends in simulation-driven engineering, and the importance of engineering judgement when evaluating results.

  • The webinar will be recorded and will be sent out to registered attendees afterwards.
  • A certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees who request one near the end of the live webinar session.
  • Please note: the time stated on this event is in UTC. You will need to convert this to your own time zone.

Key takeaways from this webinar:

  • The fundamental principles and typical workflow of Finite Element Analysis
  • How meshing and boundary conditions influence the accuracy of simulation results
  • How CAD and FEA are integrated within modern engineering design and product development
  • Examples of FEA applications across different engineering industries
  • Common commercial FEA software and emerging trends in simulation-driven engineering
  • Date: Thursday 17th September 2026
  • Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM UTC
  • Location: Online Session
